Labels
Labels allow teams to tag contacts for easier organization, filtering, and follow-up. Labels can be created, edited, assigned, and removed without affecting the contact’s core data.
Accessing Labels
Labels are managed from Contacts → Labels.
This page shows all existing labels along with:
- Label name and color
- Optional description
- Number of contacts using the label
- Creation date
The labels list acts as the central place to manage labeling across contacts.
Creating a New Label
To create a label:
- Click Create Label
- Enter the required details
- Save the label
Label Configuration

Name
The label text that will appear on contacts (for example,Enquiry,VIP,Follow-up). -
Color
Used to visually distinguish the label in contact lists and profiles. -
Description (optional)
Internal context for when the label should be used.
Click Create Label to save.
Editing an Existing Label
Labels can be updated at any time.
- Open the label’s action menu (⋮)
- Select Edit
You can update:
- Label name
- Color
- Description
Changes apply immediately to all contacts using the label.
Deleting a Label
Labels that are no longer needed can be removed.
- Open the label’s action menu (⋮)
- Select Delete
Deleting a label removes it from all contacts but does not delete the contacts themselves.
Viewing Label Usage
The Contacts column shows how many contacts currently use each label.
This helps teams:
- Identify commonly used labels
- Clean up unused labels
- Understand segmentation patterns
Searching and Sorting Labels
- Use the search bar to quickly find labels by name
- Sort labels by name, contact count, or creation date
This is useful when managing large numbers of labels.
How Labels Are Used Across Contacts
Once created, labels can be applied when:
- Editing a contact
- Adding contacts to groups
- Performing bulk actions
- Importing contacts (via mapping)
Labels provide a flexible way to classify contacts without changing their lifecycle or group membership.
Best Practices
- Use short, clear label names
- Avoid overlapping labels with similar meanings
- Use colors consistently (for example, red for urgent, blue for informational)
- Periodically review and delete unused labels
