Creating a Campaign

Pick a template, build the audience, and send or schedule.

Before You Start

You need:

  • An approved template
  • A connected WhatsApp account
  • An audience — a group, a label filter, or selected contacts
  • Consent from the people you are about to message

Creating It

Click Create Campaign and give it a name you will recognise in a report three months from now.

Select the team the campaign belongs to.

Choose the template. Only approved templates appear.

Fill in the template's variables — map them to contact fields so each person gets their own name, order number or date.

Build the audience: pick a group, filter by label or lifecycle stage, or add participants individually with Add Participant.

Choose Broadcast or Drip.

For a drip, set the daily send limit — or No limit to send as fast as possible.

Send now, or schedule it for later.

Choosing the Audience Well

Relevance is the whole game. A message that lands wrong does not just underperform — it generates blocks that make every future campaign worse.

Three targeted campaigns of 200 people almost always beat one campaign of 600. You get better results and you protect your account.

Variables

Templates carry variables that personalise each message. Map every one before sending.

A mis-mapped variable goes out to your entire list at once and cannot be recalled. Send the campaign to yourself, or to a group of one, before running it for real.

Daily Send Limits

For drip campaigns, the daily limit paces the send.

SettingEffect
A numberAt most that many messages per day
No limitSends as fast as the channel allows

Pacing is not just about volume. A steady drip is easier for your team to handle — replies arrive in a manageable stream instead of a flood no one can answer.

Scheduling

Scheduled campaigns show as Scheduled until they run.

Send when your audience will actually read it, and — more importantly — when your team is around to handle the replies. A campaign that goes out at 6pm on a Friday produces a Monday morning backlog.
