WhatsApp Overview
Flows, chatbots, templates, catalogs and conversational components — everything you build on your WhatsApp Business account.
The WhatsApp section is where you build what customers experience on WhatsApp: the forms they fill in, the bots they talk to, the messages you send them and the products they browse.
Conversations themselves happen in the Inbox; this section is what feeds it.

How the Pieces Fit
Customer opens your WhatsApp
│
├── sees ice breakers / commands → Conversational Components
├── talks to a bot → Chatbots
├── fills in a form → Flows
├── browses products → Catalog → Commerce
└── anything else → Inbox (a human replies)
You message them first → Templates → CampaignsBefore You Start
Everything here requires a connected WhatsApp Business account — see Channels.
Templates additionally require approval by WhatsApp before they can be used, so build them before you need them, not during a rush.
The 24-Hour Rule
WhatsApp lets you send free-form messages only within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Outside that window, only approved templates go through.
This single rule shapes most of how the section is used: templates for re-engagement, everything else for live conversation.
