InboxInboxview

Open

The Open view shows every active ticket — the full live workload, assigned or not.

Open shows every active ticket: those already assigned and those still waiting for an owner. Nothing closed appears here.

It is the default view when you enter the Inbox, and the one managers live in.

What You See

Assigned and unassigned tickets side by side
  • Every ticket is still active
  • Each row shows New (unassigned) or Assigned
  • Unassigned rows carry an amber left edge
  • The assignee's avatar sits on the right; +2 means several people are assigned

Open vs New vs Mine

OpenAll active tickets, assigned or not
NewActive tickets with no owner

Reassign a Ticket

Open the ticket.

Click the panel icon at the far right of the chat header to open Ticket Details.

Under Assignment, click Change.

Pick another team or team member. The ticket is reassigned instantly and a system note records it.

Assigning a team makes the ticket available to every member of it. Assigning an individual puts it in exactly one person's Mine view. Use teams when you want the fastest available person to pick it up.

Using Open as a Manager

  • Sort by oldest first to surface tickets that have been waiting
  • Use the staff and team filters to check one person's or one team's load
  • Watch for rows with an amber edge — those have nobody on them
  • Reassign when someone goes offline rather than letting their tickets stall

Role-Based Behaviour

RoleIn the Open view
Super AdminSees every open ticket, on every channel
AdminSees open tickets on the channels their teams grant
StaffThe same channel scope, minus any assigned tickets their organisation hides from them

Responding and reassigning are not role-gated — anyone who can see an open ticket can work on it.
